A new track from the upcoming Weakerthans record, on Epitaph. Sounds fine to me - but I'm not so sure about the softer, double-tracked chorus. Oh well - radio rock, here we come!

It was catchy and slickly produced, which is what I find to be the common denominator for radio-rock status. Of course I myself like radio-rock. Oh well.

I was just commenting that while the Weakerthans' previous records were radio-worthy, Epitaph's giving them that "slickly produced" thing that will actually get them played. Which isn't a criticism any more than calling something "lofi" is a criticism.
