We received a Cease And Desist this afternoon, for something that we posted, but I don't yet know what. I'm investigating. All mp3s are gone in the mean time.

Hope everything's okay with you guys. This site's turned a lot of people on to a lot of great music, and is still the best mp3 blog on the net.

Fifty bucks says the White Stripes. Actually, no, it's probably one of the RIAA's address harvesting bots making the rounds. That would explain the vagueness.

Oh man, I hope everything turns out okay. And with the Supreme Court setting precidence in regards to file sharing... well, we'll just have to wait and see how everything turns out.

How can they tell you to 'cease and desist', yet not tell you the specifics of what you should 'cease to desist' doing? Is there something I'm missing?

Wow, that really stinks. The major labels have engines and agents, not just the RIAA, which is how The Man found my little corner of the world. Keep us posted, we care!

Thanks for all your support. And don't assume it's the RIAA (although it may be)... smaller labels have lawyers, too.

All songs are removed within a few weeks of posting.
