Once, I thought I was planting a lily. In fact I was planting a fuchsia. I took a plane to Durban and when I came out through the skyway I was on a raft, on the sea. I was in the heart of a volcano. It wasn't a volcano, it was a mountain, Turrell's mountain. I don't mean that I was confused; I mean that I can accomplish the thing I didn't think I was accomplishing. You can accomplish the thing you didn't think you were accomplishing. You can do one thing and in fact be doing the other. If all you have been doing is circles then perhaps you have not been doing circles. Perhaps you've been doing rings. [video]
